we were on a break

it was unintentional, but oh, it was good.

the past two weeks have seen unexpected travel days, a sick day or two, and terribly cute visitors.

we hadn't planned on going home for Easter, but at the last minute, one of my dearest friends sent word asking if I would sing at her beloved grandmother's funeral, so we packed up in a hurry for a three day visit with our families. we'll be moving home a week from tomorrow, but it was nice to get back and spend the holiday with friends and family.

our friend Kelley and her little Talia [two months younger than Rowan] met us upon our return [our last return to this town as our home!], and we spent two days squealing and rolling around on the floor with two sweet babies. Rowan hasn't spent much time with other babies at all -- there aren't any other moms with babies in our church or campus group, so we're generally completely alone -- but she loved having Talia here to play with between naps!

next week we'll be in the midst of packing up our lives to put into storage + keep only the daily essentials while we live with family for the next few months.

BUT, there will be a whole bunch of excitement happening here next week! including a guest post from a lovely friend, a blog tour post for a movement I've been so blessed to be involved with -- Overcome the Lie, and a HUGE giveaway for two lucky ladies!

have a great weekend and make sure to check back through the next week for all the fun!
